late night at the studio [ Posted on September 07, 2008 @ 8:09 pm ] kesame oh gawddddd gesso takes so long to dry! i'm getting close to fed up... might have to put the third coat on tomorrow... i had the longest feet-achingest day ever... buying art supplies without a car is hell. and i spent SO MUCH FREAKING MONEY its not even funny... why is art stuff so expensive? and why didn't i have like half this stuff already? staple gun? sable watercolor brush? it took me nearly all day to go back and forth between different stores and my locker, now its taking me all evening to prepare everything for this week... gotta get this canvas primed and i just finished doing an underpainting for my materials/tech class... i also made myself a glass palette... bleh. i just want to go home and play videogames ;___; i just got Bully, Kingdom Hearts 2, and Twilight Princess (for gaycube) after taking a long break from videogames this summer. once the winter comes around i don't feel so guilty about playing haha. i love Bully so far but i'm like WAYYYY too nice so whenever i do anything mean in the game i say 'sorry!' outloud without thinking. i'm such a loser... and i'm failing art class >:O ok fuck this gesso, YOU IS GOIN ON THE DRYIN RACKZ. what else is new.... i have my first day of my animal behavior class tomorrow, which is awesome. my birthday is in one week, and i'm turning 21. i have class on my monday-FUNday birthday from 6pm - 9pm and have class the next morning, soooo i probably won't have much fun. my mom's coming to visit on friday. and i get internet on the 16th. life is craziness... hope your all doin well.  <3 Post Comment

every day is rain [ Posted on September 04, 2008 @ 11:05 am ] kesame i love this rainy gray weather but its not fun carrying my laptop around in it... anyway UPDATES~~@(@~P~(P~``  lskdjfasdf i'm gunna get internet cuz comcast has a pretty good deal right now, so that's cooooool.... i've been getting interested in a whole lot of new artists lately so i realy want to be able to research them. i always think about making a big binder full of print outs about artists that i can just leaf thru and find inspiration from, but i'm thinking now i'd rather try to take that online. i don't think i'll start a separate LJ for it because i've learned that when i start more journals they end up dead, just gotta stick to one. soooo i'll probably start doing filters like everyone else does... school, artist research, my art, blabhablahbalblah. oh dude oh dude i'm having my bed delivered todayyyyy.... no more sleeping on the floor :D and i'm in a panic trying to find a working digital camera because i need to have digital images of my artwork to show in two of my classes (one tomorrow, one monday). gotta dig thru all the crap i just emptied out of my storage unit (THANKS BEN FOR HALPING!!!) and hopefully i'll find my battery charger for my nikon. if notttttt i'm kinda screweeeddddd.... i had my other painting class last night, it was pretty cool. my teacher rocks and he's definitely gunna push me, plus he's known me for a while so he kinda gets me. but yea, he made us take a silly quiz and read it outloud in front of everyone. i'm gunna turn it into a meme! whoa dude school yea [ Posted on September 02, 2008 @ 12:32 pm ] kesame today's my real first day of class. i had like... a lame come-in-say-hi class last week which i'm not counting. today i have my painting materials and techniques class and i just wanted to come on here and GUSHHHHH about it cuz i'm so freaking excited! we are making our own paint and grounds and everything, i'm gunna learn like uber-traditional processes and i'm preparing a drawing to work on in egg tempera next week. EXCITEMENTTTT... my teacher rocks too, i'd seen his art over on swanky michigan ave years ago and was taken with it. he's totally cool. other than coolness, school feels really really weird... and it took me a while to realize why---everyone i know has graduated! its like i'm in a whole new school, i don't know ANYONE. i've always taken higher level courses so last year all my classmates were seniors, and now they have vanished and i'm like... all alone with a bunch of noobs, haha. my painting class is like the craziest hodgepodge of people, and i've never even seen any of them before in the halls or nothin. its bizarre. anyway... back to pwning everyone with my mad gesso skillz....
